About

Natalie Carter founded East Haddon School of Dance in 2003 but in 2018, due to the school’s widening catchment area, the school was renamed Northamptonshire School of Dance.

Classes are held in our beautiful studios at The Woodyard, High Street, Naseby, NN6 6DD, where we have fully sprung and Harlequin Cascade floors, Harlequin barres and full length and width mirrors.

There is also plenty of free, off-street parking and a comfortable reception room.

We also teach at Maidwell Hall, Pitsford School and Spratton Hall School. Please do get in touch, if you’d be interested in curriculum classes at your school – admin@northamptonshiredance.co.uk

Natalie views Pilates as the perfect exercise to complement dance training. She is Level 3 qualified with Body Control Pilates is currently working towards her Level 4 and has a specialist qualification in teaching children and adolescents. She is part of a team of 4 BCP teachers at the studios.

One to one lessons are also available on request.

We welcome girls and boys from the age of 2 in our beginner’s ballet and street classes and children in their pre-school year to tap dancing.  Contemporary dance classes are available from approximately 7 years of age.

Examinations

Should you wish, your child can be entered for the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) ballet, International Dance Teachers Association (IDTA) tap and Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing (ISTD) Contemporary examinations.

Although taking exams is not compulsory in our school, children are encouraged to do so as they enjoy the sense of achievement and pride that success can bring.
